Power Dribble Drop Step   First Step Explosion
The post player attempts to take a long step around the defender as they push the ball straight towards the floor and catch it down by their knees.   The player will work on a big, quick first step attacking the basket for a lay-up. They should be able to get to the basket in one dribble from the 3 point line.
     
Up and Under   First Step Explosion Cross Step
This can be done with or without a dribble. This is a quick forward pivot, with a shot fake. After the fake the player cross steps and goes up for the lay-up   The player will work on a big, quick first step attacking the basket for a lay-up. This step will be across their body, which can help to beat a defender.
     
Drop Step Reverse Spin   Shot Fake
The player will take a drop step one direction and reverse pivot drop step for a lay-up.   A good shot fake requires aplayer to bring the ball up to shooting position and their butt down..
     
Reverse Pivot, Shot Fake, Cross Step   Jab Step
The player will reverse pivot and shot fake at the same time. After the fake the player can go either direction but often a cross step will be open to create a shot opportunity.   The player will take the ball from the middle of their body and rip the ball to their hip as they jab forward (not sideways). The jab should be short and you should be able to hear the shoes squeak.
     
Reverse Pivot Rip Through   Reverse Pivot Rip Through
The player will start the ball near their shoulder, reverse pivot and "rip" the ball below their knees and out in front of them.   The player will start the ball near their shoulder, reverse pivot and "rip" the ball below their knees and out in front of them.
     
Drop Step Power Hop   Combination Moves
This move is an alternative to the drop step. The player takes a smaller drop step and then takes a big jump stop (Power Hop) into the shot.   A combination of jabs and shot fakes can be used to beat the defender. Jab/Shot Fake/Drive. Jab/Shot Fake/Cross Step. Shot fake/ Jab/ Cross Step
     
    Inside Out
    This dribble move is a fake crossover. The player brings the ball across their body and steps the direction they are faking the crossover. After the fake they expolde to the basket.
